Dividing the Land
Probably not a good idea...
The Bible gives several strong warnings against dividing the land of Israel, especially in the context of judgment for nations that do so. While the phrase "do not divide the land" may not always appear verbatim, the concept is very clearly present in prophetic Scripture.

1. Joel 3:2 – Explicit Warning
“I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.”

Context: This is a prophecy about the end-times judgment of nations. God is angry with the nations for scattering His people and dividing His land.
Meaning: The land of Israel is God’s land (“My land”), and dividing it is seen as a violation of His covenant.
2. Genesis 15:18 – Everlasting Covenant
“In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land…”
Context: God establishes a land covenant with Abraham and his descendants.
Meaning: The land is divinely deeded to Israel. Any attempt to divide or take it away violates a God-given promise.
3. Numbers 34 – God Sets the Borders
This chapter defines the borders of the Promised Land, explicitly laying out what was given to Israel by divine command.
Meaning: The borders were not up to human negotiation. They were established by God.
4. Ezekiel 47:13–23 – God Reaffirms the Division Among Tribes
God outlines the future borders of Israel and how the land is to be distributed among the twelve tribes.
Meaning: The division of the land is to be within Israel, not between Israel and foreign nations.
5. Deuteronomy 32:8–9 – God’s Sovereign Allocation
“When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance... he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord's portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.”
Meaning: Israel is God’s special inheritance, and the land is part of that divine assignment. It's not for other nations to alter.
6. Zechariah 12:3 – Heavy Stone for All Nations
“And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces…”
Meaning: Nations that try to tamper with the status of Jerusalem—often at the heart of land disputes—will bring judgment on themselves.
